WE HAVE SALT.
I am switching jobs, and I couldn't be more excited. I feel for the first time like I'm starting a career. I am about to start a job in a field that I'm passionate about. But that's not what this post is really about.
One of my tasks in leaving my current job is creating a list of things that my co-workers or the next person in this job will need to know in my absence. This list includes where I buy different office supplies, how I've organized the office, quirks about my job.. etc. I thought that I would post excerpts from this list to give an insight into my current position. Know in reading this that I've changed the name of my boss to Nick-- and the names my co-workers.
1.) Coffee- Starbucks, ask them to grind for regular drip machine, flat bottom filter. Ethiopia Sidamo is the one Eric commented that he likes. A number of other people have commented they like Dunkin Donuts. Nick prefers BOLD coffee. 4-5 pounds per month, 2 medium blends, 1 light, 1 bold is what I tend to get.
2.) Kleenex, paper towels, napkins- Quill. Make sure to check the number of sheets/ roll when looking at prices for paper towels, some seem more expensive but are the better deal. Nick wants only the gray boxes of Kleenex, he thinks that the boxes with flowers look too extravagant.
3.)Steno pads- Sarah prefers white to yellow, Nick doesn’t want generic Quill or Staples Brand notepads because he thinks they look cheap.
4.)Fedex.com- will tell you that you have the wrong username or password, you don’t. Just click login again, and it will take you to the account. When I tried to fix this quirk by calling them, I wasted two hours of my life and we got locked out of the account.
5.)WE HAVE SALT- We have enough salt to last for about two years. There is a large box in the lower cabinet, of individual salt packets. When the salt shakers are out, know that we have salt.
Everything else, we order at Quill.
